Abstract

The vitality of these processes opens possibilities for Cultural Studies to find a space in the academy, because since the end of the nineties, Cultural Studies, thanks to the impulse of Catherine Walsh, have been integrated into the programs of several universities. This article is an approach to the debate that is taking place from the proposal of Cultural Studies, in dialogue with anthropology, since many anthropologists have studied these programs and many of them are currently teachers in universities. Thus, it is important to analyze their theoretical proposals, but fundamentally their methodological contributions and particularly the ethnographic approaches they propose, in order to see how useful they are for the different faculties and schools.
