Abstract
Humo, Barro y Cuero could only be written by someone who has many years of Andean walking, sustained reflection and passion for the Aymara world. In it we can find the ethnographic finesse of the author and thanks to it we can relearn and re-learn our understanding of the Andean expressive and ritual systems. An important book for scholars of religion, linguistics, semiotics and Andean anthropology. Indispensable to learn to read beyond its letters; to learn to read not only with words but also with images, smells and flavors.
