Abstract

The women agroecological producers of the Cayambe canton, not only serve to take care of the babies and the husband, but we are also actors of our own destiny. We have learned since we were young to be leaders, and above all by working in the chakras with our parents. We have shown that we are capable of producing to satisfy the food sovereignty of the family, based on the rescue and recognition of our knowledge; by taking care of the culture, respecting the land, the seeds, producing with love and affection. Now, we have healthy food and permanent income resulting from the sale in agroecological fairs, baskets, restaurants directly, offering a variety of healthy food to urban families with whom we have built relationships of respect and friendship.
