Companies and organizations require structures that integrate voice, video, and data communications services into business processes. They require information to reach its recipients quickly through an appropriate medium, regardless of the location of individuals. To address these requirements, unified communications as a service (UCaaS) are presented as a viable solution. In this paper, the convergence of traditional networks and software-defined networks (SDN) within the framework of cloud services is considered. The proposed case study analyzes the coexistence of voice, video and data services, through the infrastructure as a service (IaaS), deploying a unified communications scenario as a service. For this, we generate an instance of networks as service (NaaS) as gateway between SDN and traditional networks. Results of the tests developed in a test laboratory, show the feasibility of this proposal.
