Abstract

The Salesian educational experience in Cotopaxi "was born in the Quilotoa area in the early seventies, under the leadership of the Salesian Mission of Zumbahua", together with volunteers from the mission, Laurite sisters, Mato Grosso and lay people. This experience is contextualized within the processes of development and liberation of the indigenous people in the struggle for land, fair trade and an education that responds to their needs and allows them to overcome illiteracy.
