Satisfacción de Necesidades de Habitabilidad en Procesos de Reasentamientos Urbanos

In Ecuador, the relationship between the production of popular neighborhoods and psycho-environmental approaches to study has been little explored. This concern has been addressed by the research line in community environmental psychology of the Psychosocial Research Group of the Psychology Department of the Salesian Polytechnic University. We sustain the need to produce knowledge related to the satisfaction of habitability needs and the factors associated with the social production of the habitat and the city. The readers of this work will be able to deepen their understanding of the psychosocial dimensions that mediate human relationships with their built environment. In fact, we present the analysis of the psychosocial factors that affect the satisfaction of habitability needs of 32 families in the first stage of relocation that took place in Ciudad Victoria in Guayaquil. From a qualitative research perspective, an analytical model is established that relates the conflicts between institutional actors and beneficiary families, from the understanding of the experience lived at a personal, relational and collective level. This study acquires relevance in the sense of documenting a complex resettlement process in order to generate lessons learned to improve public management models in the production of popular neighborhoods.
