Abstract

Electrical power systems have undergone countless changes in the last decades, from improvements in protection and metering elements to the use of new primary sources for electricity generation, with the main objective of guaranteeing the reliability and continuity of the electrical service. For the adaptability of many of these changes in electric power systems, it is necessary to have plans that help to manage and optimize technical, human, economic and energy resources. Thus, the management of energy from renewable generation systems has become one of the most important challenges in current power systems, especially when these generation systems are connected at the distribution level and are of low nominal power. In this context, the present work shows the modeling of a photovoltaic generation microgrid installed at residential level for the supply of concurrent loads, taking as a case study an induction stove. An operation model has been applied to the modeled microgrid, which allows this system to have operating priorities. The results obtained show that the use of the operation model allows the generator to have greater control of the energy produced and to allocate it to meet specific needs or to negotiate it in the case of an appropriate market structure. In addition to producing a load shedding between 55% and 65% to the electricity distribution systems depending on weather conditions.
