Abstract
The current challenge of the pastoral action of the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS) is to ensure that the person is able to identify himself, rationally and affectively, with his being human in a filial relationship with God. This filiation must be concretized in a life project that integrates all aspects of the life of the person, who, according to Don Bosco, is the good Christian as an honest citizen. The present document contains the foundations that guide the pastoral work in the university life of the UPS, according to the documents of the Church and the Salesian Congregation, among them: the Ex Corde Ecclesiae of St. John Paul II; the Frame of Reference of the Salesian Youth Pastoral; the orientations for the University Pastoral of the IUS; the navigation chart of the UPS that has as its basis the Ecuadorian reality and the experience of the Salesian Congregation.
