Abstract

This paper presents the optimization of the infrastructure and elements involved in the communication and transmission of information. The model will minimize the number of Wireless Access Points (WAP), taking into account capacity, coverage and interference restrictions with LTE technology in a WLAN system for a sensor network IEEE 802.15. 4g under the Smart Home concept through the use of Matlab and LPSolver software, a mathematical formulation is presented, which will be used for the location of a set of Wireless Access Points that provide coverage to Smart Devices. The use of LPSolver software will facilitate the resolution of equations, providing a reduction of time and resources for the study of design in Smart Metering, through the exemplification of real problems that are of great relevance for design conditions of wireless networks, applying a hierarchical topology.
