Abstract
This article is based on the analysis of data corresponding to earthquakes generated along the Pacific Ring of Fire in the period from 1970 to 2014, using the IRIS (Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology) database. With this analysis it was determined that there is a migration of seismic sources in this region. Furthermore, from the results obtained it was found that this migration occurs in a counterclockwise direction in most areas, with the exception of the areas comprising the Australian Plate and the Pacific Plate.
