Abstract
This article is developed based on sensor networks on Smart Grids, together with an appropriate management methodology that allows us to analyze and verify through a simulation the behavior of these wireless networks in an internal way, within a house or smart home, taking into account several parameters or restrictions such as coverage distance, capacity and percentage of coverage. For this purpose, the intelligent network infrastructure is described and a mathematical model is proposed to minimize the distance from the sensors to the access points within the considered area. It is also focused on the design of these smart grids, where an optimization of the different feasible points is performed, thus achieving a maximum coverage of the sensors to implement an adequate energy management system in smart homes, based on a reliable service of the network connectivity.
