Abstract

© 2018 IEEE. The speed fluctuation of a vehicle has a significant impact on the traffic, road safety, fuel consumption and emission of exhaust gases. Thus, in this research it is proposed an improved model with realistic speed for a lane based on two typical models of microscopic vehicular traffic with Cellular Automata proposed by Nagel and Schreckenberg (NaSch) and the car-following models. Furthermore, this model expose the vehicle speed fluctuation of either one or any vehicles. Finally, after perform the respective simulations implementing this model, it is presented the fundamental diagrams reproducing some phenomena that the model is able to exhibit.
