Abstract
Chapter two: Latin American Pedagogical Approaches and Perspectives by Floralba del Rocío Aguilar-Gordón analyzes the main guidelines that orient Latin American pedagogical thinking and doing in recent times. To this end, a retrospective vision is made of the approaches that oriented the educational task and that gradually contributed to the configuration of a model of human being that survives in the present time. In addition, it reflects on the pedagogical perspectives that will serve as a fundamental reference to understand the educational reality of the coming times. It starts from the criterion that Latin America in the past has not had its own educational models, but has historically had to import foreign paradigms and approaches that have been imposed as regulations of the educational policy of the governments in power; in this sense, it analyzes the following approaches: traditional, encyclopedic, critical-social, constructivist, behaviorist, participative, and visualizes the methodological perspective that guides each one of them. each of them.
