Abstract

A single wavelength optical access network with jointly GFDM and LTE signal was tested. The LTE was centered at a frequency of 1.5 GHz while GFDM was left at baseband. The LTE RF power was optimized for properly recovering the GFDM data. IM/DD format was employed for reduce complexity of the system. Receiver sensitivities of-29.5dBm for LTE and-24.5dBm for 4-QAM GFDM were achieved. Hence, access network convergence of LTE and GFDM could serve until 64 user at PON legacy networks.
