Abstract

In Venezuela and other countries where it coexists public health system and a private one, we find a variety of organizations that present health services. Even though we have a strong public system, we often find that each health center uses different Electronic Medical Record systems, hindering data sharing for improved patient care. One of the strongest challenges for the integration of all databases in the health system is to have a system for synchronizing heterogeneous databases. In this article synchronization and data sharing mechanisms are proposed to achieve an integrated health system.
