Abstract

© 2018 IEEE. This article describes in detail the process of implementing an electronic system for the control and prevention of diseases in people who lift too much weight. The electronic system consists of a FSR resistive pressure sensor placed inside an ergonomic glove, where in conjunction with an Arduino Nano implemented in a handle, it will monitor the weight data that is raised by the person, working with ranges of up to 20 kg of weight. The research is based on the importance of knowing first the types of diseases that are caused when lifting weights greater than 10 kg in middle and senior citizens in certain periods of time throughout their work routines, where an application on Android was designed to help the user to prevent possible injuries in weight lifting, with the generation of a graphical interface of raised weight monitoring and alarms that warn about possible injuries of the user, in determined periods of time.
