Abstract

According to estimates by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), about one million children died due to unintentional injuries and accidents in 2004. The top five causes of accident-related deaths worldwide are trauma, fire-related burns, falls and poisoning. For this reason, it is essential that parents, schools and caregivers are prepared to teach children how to prevent these types of accidents. For these reasons, in this article we present a complete ecosystem based on a robotic assistant, a web information management system and two interactive-collaborative games that can be used to teach trauma accident prevention to children between the ages of 6 and 10 years old. In order to validate the proposal, 2 experimentation processes have been carried out: one with 30 children to validate the individual work game. The results are encouraging, as they show that the children assimilate the concepts and have a good predisposition to use the tool.
