Abstract
This work deals with the political dimension of education in different moments, starting from the transcendence of Don Bosco's proposal (which is the theme that summons us) and analyzing, from this, other moments of encounter with diverse political pedagogical models in Latin America and Ecuador, because the Preventive System is not a static proposal, stopped in time, on the contrary it can always be recreated and in fact it is, in such a way, that we can read today's reality, in the light of the (Preventive System). It is not intended to cover all of history, but it does include significant events and important models, precisely that of Don Bosco, followed by a brief reference to the experiences of Paulo Freire and Monsignor Leonidas Proaño, and ending with a reflection on the educational project that is currently being debated in Ecuador. Each historical epoch has a particular context, a specific political project and subjects that carry it forward.
