Abstract

With the objective of analyzing the theoretical conceptions that support the construction of audiovisual communicative products, the article presents the results of a research on the creation of communicative products with a critical look at the Ecuadorian audiovisual. The research is located within the line of creation of communicative products: its foundations, of the Social Communication career with mention in Audiovisual and Multimedia Production of the Salesian Polytechnic University, Guayaquil, Ecuador. The research shows that communicative products, as part of the communication process, are the consequence of socio-semiotic operations of production and integrate technical characteristics and discursive strategies. An updated bibliography on the subject was reviewed, which served as support for the systematization and/or compilation of knowledge in this area of knowledge. The research matrix used is that which refers to qualitative studies. As part of the conclusions, it is shown that the Ecuadorian audiovisual in general, without delimiting genres, is going through a moment of evolution from the technological and industrial point of view and, in some cases, it expands beyond its territorial limits.
