Abstract
The Salesian Polytechnic University, due to its typology of being co-financed and receiving funds from the State, is obliged to apply the quota policy by granting scholarships to students with limited economic resources and who come from historically excluded groups. But beyond this legal framework, the UPS, since its origins, has been promoting and supporting the education of young people from vulnerable groups and has done so inspired by its institutional mission. In this sense, the quota policy is one more strategy that reinforces the multiplicity of inclusive programs and projects that the UPS is implementing.
